Chicago Blackhawks Win the 2013 Stanley Cup in Game 6 Against the Boston Bruins

Why This Matters:

–  The Boston Bruins entered Game 6 as a ‘must win,’ but due to their home ice advantage (which is always huge in Boston) they were thought to take this to a Game 7 (which unfortunately did not happen)

-Boston dominated most the game and was up 2-1 with 2 minutes to go in the game, Game 7 seemed to be a reality….but then Chicago got a last wind and not only scored to tie the game with 1 minute and 16 seconds to go but then with a measley 58.3 seconds to go Blackhawks charged again, made a goal and finished to win the game 3-2 (and win the Stanley Cup)

–  2010 was the last time the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup and this year there was 8 players on the roster from that 2010 team to win again in 2013

–  Patrick Kane of the Blackhawks won the MVP Trophy (called the Conn Smythe Trophy) – he had 7 goals in his last 8 games (stellar stats)

–  The Bruins last won the Stanley Cup in 2011
